Operation Hat Trick & Texas A&M

Texas A&M University proudly joins Operation Hat Trick (OHT) on their mission to help United States service members and veterans heal from the visible and invisible wounds of war.

From producing servicemen and women through the Corps of Cadets to providing support for veterans during and after active duty at the Veteran Resource and Support Center, Texas A&M’s commitment to military service continues to grow with OHT.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Texas A&M-OHT merchandise is used to assist American heroes on their road to recovery.

In 2007, OHT Founder Dot Sheehan was listening to a Boston radio station, where a trivia contest was underway. The question was: “What’s the one thing most wanted by head-wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan?”

The answer? Baseball caps to cover wounds, burns, swelling and bandages. Dot was so affected by this — something so simple — that she knew she had to do something. From this simple question Operation Hat Trick, an organization dedicated to helping veterans suffering from the visible and invisible wounds of war, was born.
